The Fast-track Approvals (Cost Recovery) Regulations 2025 set out contribution fees that are payable to the Māori Consultation Groups defined in the Regulations.
The current contribution levels are (excluding GST):

The level of contribution we pay you will depend on the type of application that you provide comments on, and how many different types of approval it seeks. Approval types are listed in section 42(4) of the Act.

Step 1: Register as a supplier
If you are not already registered as a supplier with the EPA, you must complete and provide a new supplier registration form.

Please send your completed form to procurement@epa.govt.nz
Step 2: Complete the Contribution fee application
To apply for payment of your contribution, send an email to finance@epa.govt.nz with:
- your completed and signed contribution fee application form: Contribution fee application form (PDF, 84KB)
- your invoice, made out to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA)
- copies of the Fast-track letters (a) inviting you to comment and (b) confirming we’ve received your comments.
Invoices are paid monthly.
