The expert panel for the Bledisloe North Wharf and Fergusson North Berth Extension project granted approvals for the application, subject to conditions.
Construct a new reinforced concrete-piled wharf structure at the Bledisloe Terminal, a reinforced concrete-piled extension to the existing Fergusson North Berth, a cruise passenger terminal, and fendering.
Land and coastal marine area at the Port of Auckland, 1 to 9 Quay Street, Auckland.
The substantive application by Port of Auckland Limited was deemed complete on 12 March 2025. The application complies with the requirements of section 46 (2) of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024. The application was lodged on 10 March 2025.
Port of Auckland Limited initially lodged a substantive application for the project on 7 February 2025. The Fast-track team returned the substantive application, which did not comply with all the requirements of section 46 (2) of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024.
Port of Auckland Limited then prepared and lodged a new Fast-track substantive application.
The substantive application by Port of Auckland Limited was deemed to not have any competing applications or existing resource consents on 26 March 2025. This decision is required under section 47 of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024.
The application has now been referred to the panel convener for determination by a panel.

the timeframe for panel decisions for the Bledisloe North Wharf and Fergusson North Berth Extension project under clause 2 of section 79 of the Act.
