Project summary
The project involves includes ancillary activities and infrastructure, including:
helicopter movements
parking, access and manoeuvring areas
earthworks and civil works (for building platforms, roading, landscaping, services and infrastructure)
vegetation removal and modification
temporary construction activities including sediment control measures
wastewater treatment and disposal.
The project will require the proposed approvals under the fast-track approvals process:
resource consents under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA)
wildlife permits under the Wildlife Act 1953
archaeological authority under the Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga Act 2014.
Project location
The project is located across 15 Arabella Lane and 52 Kauri Drive, Snells Beach, Auckland Region, with a combined area of approximately 62.5 hectares.
Project referral
The Minister for Infrastructure referred the project to the Fast-track on 30 July 2026 The application was lodged on 8 May 2026.
