Four Tracking Westfield to Pukekohe

Project summary

Widen the existing rail corridor and expand the North Island Main Trunk between Westfield Junction and Pukekohe (approximately 38 kilometres) from a 2-track to 4-track railway, including:

• grade-separating Westfield Junction

• widening bridges, removing level crossings, and modifying stations, including modifying the configuration of station platforms

• new track, signals, and electrified lines.
