Hawke’s Bay Expressway

Project summary

Upgrade the existing State highway between the vicinity of Pakipaki and Taradale, including:

• two additional lanes (one in each direction) along approximately 24 kilometres of highway

• approximately three to five interchanges and three to four bridge upgrades between Watchman Road and Pakipaki

• altering the existing designation, and additional land acquisition outside of that designation.
