Hawke’s Bay Expressway

Project summary

Upgrade the existing state highway between Napier and Hastings, including:

• 2 additional lanes (1 in each direction) along approximately 24 kilometres of highway

• approximately 3 to 5 interchanges and 3 to 4 bridge upgrades between Watchman Road and Pakipaki

• altering the existing designation, and additional land acquisition outside of that designation.
