Near Eldorado Track (connecting to Mahinerangi Road), 50 kilometres west of Dunedin and 5 kilometres north of Lake Mahinerangi.

The substantive application by Mercury NZ Limited was deemed complete on 27 November 2025. The application complies with the requirements of section 46 (2) of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024. The application was lodged on 6 November 2025.
