Construct and operate approximately 44 additional wind turbines, and connect and supply electricity to the national grid.
Near Eldorado Track (connecting to Mahinerangi Road), 50 kilometres west of Dunedin and 5 kilometres north of Lake Mahinerangi.

The substantive application by Tararua Wind Power Limited (and Mercury NZ Limited) was deemed complete on 27 November 2025. The application complies with the requirements of section 46 (2) of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024. The application was lodged on 6 November 2025.

The substantive application by Tararua Wind Power Limited (and Mercury NZ Limited) was deemed to not have any competing applications or existing resource consents on 11 December 2025. This decision is required under section 47 of the Fast-track Approvals Act 2024.
