Project summary
The project involves:
approximately 1,500 residential lots
commercial and community facilities
an integrated transport network with internal roads, walking and cycling links, and public transport connections to State Highway 1 and transit corridors
the option of a comprehensive stormwater network, interim private water supply and wastewater infrastructure if connection to Auckland Council infrastructure is not viable or available in time
a 129-hectare ecological restoration area with walking and cycling network and extensive riparian and wetland enhancement.
Project location
Multiple land parcels covering 231 hectares in the Milldale suburb located approximately 20 km north of the Albany Centre in Auckland Region.
Project referral
The Minister for Infrastructure referred the project to the Fast-track on 23 March 2026. The application was lodged on 28 November 2025.
