Tararua Wind Farm Repowering

Project summary

Disestablish and remove approximately 134 existing wind turbines, construct and operate approximately 43 new turbines, including works to connect and supply electricity to the national grid, and works to widen existing local roads approaching the site from the state highway.

Project location

Foothills of the Tararua Range, south of the Manawatu Gorge and north of the Pahiatua Track, 5.5 kilometres west of Woodville.
